Jason Park, Trumpet, joined his first brass quintet in 1992 and has since fallen in love with brass chamber music. Along the way he has performed with the University of Hawaii Brass Choir, Honolulu Symphony Brass Quintet, Brazzissimo, Paradigm Brass, Brass Act Quintet, and is honored to be debuting with the Oxford Street Brass Quintet on this concert. He studied brass performance at the prestigious Rafael Mendez Brass Institute in Arizona in 1995 under the direction of some of the greatest brass players in our time. He also attended the Brass Residency Program at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada in 2010 & 2011 appearing with Paradigm Brass, under the direction of renowned trumpet soloist Jens Lindemann. In conjunction with chamber music performance, Jason is currently Music Director for Pied Piper Players, a children’s theater company in San Mateo, and performs with numerous organizations including San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Opera, Santa Rosa Symphony, West Edge Opera, Marin Oratorio, Oakland Municipal Band, Magik Magik Orchestra, San Francisco Playhouse, Ray of Light Theatre, Bay Area Musicals, Berkeley Playhouse, and Woodminster Summer Musicals. Jason is also featured soloist at Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco.
