Bio > Ken Ken is a graduate of Yale University, where he studied with Robert Nagel, founding member of the New York Brass Quintet. While at Yale, he played Principal Trumpet in the Yale Symphony Orchestra and Solo Cornet with the Yale University Concert Band. Ken played solo cornet with the San Jose Municipal Band for twelve years and principal trumpet in the Opera San Jose Orchestra for a decade. He has performed with many other professional ensembles, including the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra, the San Jose Symphony Orchestra, and the Oakland Symphony, and was a featured cornet soloist with the Allentown Band, the oldest civilian professional band in the country. Ken is presently principal cornet with the Ohlone Wind Orchestra. He resides in Fremont, California, with his wife, Laurie, and son, Brendan, and by day is a software development manager at FileMaker, Inc., a division of Apple Computer.
